If everything is evidence of collusion with Russia...
In yet another example of whatever President Trump does is evidence that he's an agent of the Russian government, we proudly present: The Firing of Rex Tillerson. When Trump nominated Rex Tillerson to be his Secretary of State, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released an official statement saying:
Choosing an oil executive friendly with Vladimir Putin as Secretary of State sends a disturbing signal about President-elect Trump’s priorities. Rex Tillerson’s cozy relationship with the Kremlin is especially alarming in light of his attitude toward sanctions over Russia’s aggressive behavior in Europe, while at the same time the President-elect continues to side with Russia over the judgment of the U.S. intelligence community.
“The Secretary of State should champion American values, American security and American interests. Fawning over Putin is poor preparation for being the top diplomat of the United States of America.”
Now that Trump has unceremoniously fired Tillerson, Pelosi has released another official statement:
Secretary Tillerson’s firing sets a profoundly disturbing precedent in which standing up for our allies against Russian aggression is grounds for a humiliating dismissal. President Trump’s actions show that every official in his Administration is at the mercy of his personal whims and his worship of Putin.
It seems odd that even firing someone Pelosi has publicly accused of "fawning over Putin" is evidence that Trump "worships Putin" in Pelosi's mind. Shouldn't Pelosi be praising President Trump for finally coming to his senses and standing up to Putin by firing one of the Russian stooges in his administration? Shouldn't this affront to Putin be hailed as leadership by Pelosi who is getting exactly what she claimed to want in 2016?
These questions will never be asked let alone answered, because the truth is that Nancy Pelosi and others like her are simply engaging in one of the most blatant and pathetic examples of partisan politics we've ever seen. Pelosi's insistence that Trump is in Vladimir Putin's pocket is comparable to Trump's sad crusade to find President Obama's birth certificate or an Alex Jones rant about nearly anything.
