The Democratic Party Narrative in 2020
If I may use a tired baseball analogy, it's safe to say that we're currently rounding third in the 2016 presidential election, and it appears as if Hillary Clinton is going to be the 45th President of the United States. As seen in the graphic below, all the current polling indicates a Clinton victory over Donald Trump.
I'm noting this so that we know exactly where we're at in the 2016 election as I posted this prediction for the 2020 election four years from now. My prediction is not exactly bold, and I think any rational person who gave it a minute of thought would come to the same conclusion, but I want to have it on the record nonetheless.
It doesn't matter who the Republican Party nominates in 2020, it doesn't matter what they believe, what their record is, their experience, or anything at all; the Democrats are going to paint the Republican Party nominee as being worse than Trump in every possible way. This person will be more extreme than Trump, more hateful than Trump, more in league with foreign dictators than Trump, less rational than Trump, etc... In whatever way this person can be painted as being worse than Donald Trump they absolutely will be, and it will be relentless and far more irritating than the nonsense currently dogging Trump, like Hillary's conspiracy theory about him being an agent of Vladimir Putin and the Russian government.
And you may call it petty, but I'm only writing this so that when I mock the people making this argument in 2020 it's that much more satisfying.
