The Spooks Have Taken the Media
CNN and MSNBC are full of security-state apparatchiks just like Twitter was
In the newest batch of Twitter Files reported by Michael Shellenberger, we learned that one of the reasons there were so many “former” FBI agents working for Twitter, including their deputy general counsel, Jim Baker, was to persuade Twitter executives to censor accounts, ban speech, and block stories that the FBI didn’t like from the inside. This includes the New York Post story about Hunter Biden based on materials found on his laptop.
After a private, classified meeting with his “former” employer, the FBI, an agency that would have known that the reporting from Biden’s laptop is true and that none of it is based on false or hacked material by any foreign government, Baker does everything in his power to convince his Twitter colleagues that the emails being reported are in fact fake and represent a violation of Twitter’s hacked materials policy so that they will censor the story on the platform. Which they ultimately did.
In 2019, the Daily Caller compiled a list of 15 “former” officials from the “Intelligence Community” who worked for CNN and MSNBC. A list which includes Jim Baker who would go on to leave CNN to work for Twitter in 2020.
So if Baker’s role at Twitter, and the fact that he was recently fired by new owner Elon Musk for impeding the reporting on the Twitter Files would seem to be further evidence of this, was to push the company to censor information to mislead the public, what is the role of all the other “former” security-state officials that are embedded at corporate media outlets like CNN and MSNBC? It seems unlikely that it’s to keep us well informed.
This is yet another indication that biggest purveyor of misinformation in the United States is the United States government, and they have infiltrated social media and corporate “news” organizations to do so.
